This is Nicole, who will be a senior in Lakeville this coming fall. She has the most amazing amber-colored eyes, they just pop right out of her portraits. Gorgeous! I loved Nicole’s choice of clothing for this session – the blue is bright and complements her blonde hair and light eyes, and the brown top worked well for the urban/industrial background we shot at later on.

Nicole – Minneapolis Senior Photographer
Monday, May 31st, 2010Something New – Second Shooting a Wedding
Thursday, May 27th, 2010First things first – I do not offer wedding services at this time, but I have several wonderful photographers I have assisted by working as a second shooter. Earlier this month I helped Kristin of Kristin Knudson Photography at a wedding and reception held at the gorgeous Plummer House in Rochester.
The day was cold, especially considering a few weeks later Minnesota would hit a record-breaking high of over 90 degrees. That day the sun would come out for five minutes and everyone would rush to a sunny patch of lawn. In between the rays of sunshine it hailed (hailed!) mini pellets twice and sprinkled. Luckily every time we were outside for portraits the weather held. The rain made the new spring grass a very bright green!
Here are some images from Jesse and Tiffany’s wedding. They were so obviously in love, what a happy day!

Springtime Sisters – Northfield Family Photographer
Saturday, May 22nd, 2010Meet the adorable Maya and Emma, who I photographed in Northfield recently. Miss Maya is one of the most well-spoken three year old children I have ever met, and she had some very specific ideas of how her photo session should go. She would say, “I want to look beautiful,” and then give me a big smile and pose with her cheek on her shoulder. Love a child who enjoys posing for the camera!
Her baby sister Emma was so sweet and had nothing but smiles for me and her mom as we moved her from spot to spot for photographs. The image of her peeking out of the basket is one of my new favorites, and is currently the opening portrait on my new website.
