Hi! My name is Salina, and I am a photographer working in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and southern Minnesota areas. I enjoy meeting new people, and luckily for me, my profession allows me to do that every week, whether I am photographing a newborn, baby, child, family or creating senior pictures. This blog showcases my recent photography, and will help you get to know me and my style of portraits a little better. I am based out of Northfield, but work on-location throughout the Twin Cities (and beyond) or in my studio in Burnsville. I work with my clients to choose the right locations, times and wardrobe pieces to ensure their portraits are beautiful and true reflections of who they are.

Christina – Mayo High School Class of 2012 – Minnesota Senior Portraits

On a blustery but gorgeous fall day I met Christina, her mom and her sister in the quaint town of Lake City, Minnesota for Christina’s senior portrait session. The wind was a bit of a challenge, but in the end I think the windblown look worked perfectly with Christina’s hair.

We took some of her portraits in the downtown area, then in a park, and lastly at the Lake City Marina. Christina loves to sail, and she wanted to incorporate her passion for it into her photographs.

The collection Christina and her parents ordered includes a slideshow with some of their favorites, so I added that after the images. Enjoy the rest of your senior year, Christina!

Payton – Northfield, MN High School Senior Portraits

I photographed Payton in late fall, at her family’s home, which ended up being an absolutely incredible location. The sun and scenery really worked to our advantage! As a straight-haired girl my entire life, I think I probably told Payton about six hundred times, “I love your hair!” We were working on a somewhat chilly evening but Payton never let on she was cold, she had a great smile the whole time and a beautiful “serious face,” as well. Best of luck to you, Payton, as you enter 2012 and look forward to graduation!

Elle – Northfield High School Senior, Class of 2012

What better way to brighten a dreary December day than to look back on portraits taken in August? I photographed Elle in Northfield, MN for her senior portraits on a beautiful summer evening. She was incredible in front of the camera – such a gorgeous smile! Toward the end of her session we went to the soccer fields to photograph her in more dramatic light. She will be playing soccer for the University of Minnesota next year and wanted some senior pictures of her in some U of M gear! Loved the colors of the sky in those. Good luck with the rest of your senior year, Elle!

Anna – Maple Grove Senior High School – Senior Portraits

Anna’s aunt is a friend of mine, and when I was looking for a model last year to be a guinea pig for portraits taken at the Minnesota State Fair, she offered her niece! Anna, her mom and Anna’s friend Mike met me at the fair and we had a fun night of photography among the crowds and lights. Fast forward to this year and Anna is a senior at Maple Grove Senior High school and needed her senior portraits done! It was so good to see them all again, they traveled to Northfield and we used one of my favorite fields as a background.

Best of luck, Anna, as you head into 2012 and your last year of high school!
