Yes, yes, I’m still catching up with fall portraits on the blog!

Photographed this family in Northfield (repeat clients of mine – we just did Addison’s first year portraits as a cake-smash and have the next family session scheduled for this summer, I can’t wait!) on a gorgeous fall evening. The light was perfect and the kids were happy to have their photos taken. If you’re not sure where Northfield is, we’re about 20 miles south of Lakeville.

Two Princes and Now a Princess

Still catching up with blogging sessions from, yes, last fall!

This sweet family came to the Burnsville studio for some portraits of all three kids (proud big brothers Tanner and Braxton with new little sister Kennedy) and also some portraits of Kennedy alone. Don’t these kids have the biggest, most beautiful eyes!

Such a pleasure to photograph them again, it’s fun to watch them grow up through pictures!

Baby Olivia – Minneapolis, MN Newborn Photographer

Olivia’s parents first came to me when Kristi was still pregnant – their maternity session can be seen here. Before long their first child, Olivia, had arrived at it was time for her newborn session at my Burnsville studio.

Olivia was alert for the first half of the session, but once she fell asleep she was out, which allowed me to capture the sleeping images her parents were hoping to have of her.

Miranda – Minnetonka, MN Senior Portraits

This is Miranda, and we met at a beautiful garden in Wayzata last fall to create her senior portraits. The light that evening was gorgeous – I love the way it filtered through the trees behind her in the first image. Miranda will be graduating from Minnetonka High School in a few short months – good luck to you as you finish your senior year, Miranda!

Spring is almost upon us but I’m still catching up with blogging sessions from the fall! I recently returned from a week in California after photographing a wedding in San Diego and have been catching up on client orders, but I’m back to updating the blog now.

This is Jordan, an athlete from Lakeville. We held his session in Northfield and he was an awesome subject, very comfortable in front of the camera. This is the storyboard his mom ordered as one of her collection pieces – storyboards are a great way to showcase multiple images without needing to order ten 11×14s, and make great gifts for family members.

California-Bound – Andrea and Ryan Engagement Session – Minneapolis, MN

Before the first snowfall of the winter, I met up with Andrea and Ryan in Northfield to take their engagement portraits. Andrea and Ryan are getting married in San Diego next month, and I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding, as well! Their love was evident that night we had their session. Community Spotlight – Mother Goose of Northfield

I recently photographed the new children’s resale and boutique shop, Mother Goose of Northfield, for owners Shahar and Jesse. Mother Goose of Northfield is located at 801 Division Street.

They carry both used and new baby and children’s clothing, plus toys and gear associated with raising little ones. Stop in and say hello if you haven’t been yet – while you’re there you can see some examples of my work hanging on the walls!

Local Northfield author and blogger Shannon Hyland-Tassava came to my studio in Burnsville recently for head shots to use as she promotes her newly published book, The Essential Stay-at-Home Mom Manual: How to Have a Wondrous Life Amidst Kids and Chaos.

A Little Baby Girl on Her Way – Minneapolis, MN Maternity Photographer

Kristi and Ryan came to the studio the day before Thanksgiving for maternity portraits, so that they could document the time leading up to the birth of their first baby. Kristi looked amazing, and it was wonderful to get Ryan into some of the portraits, as well. Dads may not carry the babies in their bodies, but they’re just as excited to meet the new little ones. While all of her portraits were gorgeous, I especially loved the dramatically-lit ones we created at the end of the session.

Kristi and Ryan’s baby is here and we already did the newborn session, but those images will be coming later!
