Senior portraits are among my favorite sessions to photograph – the soon-to-be-seniors always look incredible and are excited about their pictures. When I arrived at Kenzie’s (Chanhassen High School class of 2012) house and she and her mom informed me they had a field of wildflowers, I was even happier. What an amazing setting! And Kenzie was a natural in front of the camera, she’s got a great sense of humor and a gorgeous smile. Best of luck to her as she starts her senior year!

A Field of Daisies – Burnsville, MN Senior Pictures
Thursday, August 4th, 2011Wild Will – Lakeville, Minnesota Baby Photographer
Monday, July 18th, 2011Okay, so Will isn’t a baby I’d classify as wild – in fact, he seems like a very laid-back little guy, but it sounded cute. And he surely is cute – he had just figured out how to make himself mobile in the days before our session at my Burnsville studio, so I had to work quickly to photograph him before he tried to take off!
Love the outtake at the end, I had to share it!
Cousins and Lollipops – Twin Cities, Minnesota Family Photographer
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011This set of cousins (three in one family, two in the other) came to my studio in Burnsville with the goal of getting some group portraits for their grandma. Five kids age six and younger? No problem. Of course, we did have to have an emergency lollipop break after interest in looking at the camera started to wane. But lollipops are never a problem, either!
The first two images I photographed using studio lighting, and the last was with the natural light streaming in through the windows.
Avery at Nine Months – Northfield, MN Baby Photographer
Monday, June 13th, 2011I have so enjoyed watching little miss Avery grow up. Each time I see her she’s learned new things. As with previous sessions, I photographed Avery in her home, which I love to do because I think when her parents look back on these images they’ll remember the details of their house when their girls were young.
Of course, had to get a quick portrait of sweet Bailey in her room. She very patiently waited until I was done photographing her baby sister, then requested I take some photographs of her, as well. I took only two, the one I’m sharing was the first, and I just adore it.
