I always love photographing clients who return year after year – so fun to see how big the children get and discover more of their little personalities. I photographed sweet Jack and his little sister Lauren again this fall, visiting an apple orchard and a beautiful wooded area. Their mom commented that the portraits really captured their personalities – Jack’s more serious nature and Lauren’s goofy one!

Jack and Lauren – Lakeville, MN Family Photographer
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011Keeler – Northfield, MN Photographer
Monday, August 22nd, 2011In July I had the opportunity to participate in a mentorship with David Hofmann, a photographer working in Los Angeles. He flew to Minnesota and we worked with many models in a weekend so that I could learn some new ways to use light, as well as learn how to use a particular photo editing software to its full potential.
Keeler was one of the models we had in the Burnsville studio. We used only natural light, which I think just highlighted Keeler’s natural beauty!
Love the one of her laughing, in particular, I’m always thrilled to capture such a real moment!
Cousins and Lollipops – Twin Cities, Minnesota Family Photographer
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011This set of cousins (three in one family, two in the other) came to my studio in Burnsville with the goal of getting some group portraits for their grandma. Five kids age six and younger? No problem. Of course, we did have to have an emergency lollipop break after interest in looking at the camera started to wane. But lollipops are never a problem, either!
The first two images I photographed using studio lighting, and the last was with the natural light streaming in through the windows.
Lilly – Twin Cities Studio Photographer
Monday, June 6th, 2011Lilly has worked as a model before (her face has been in Target ads!) so I knew she’d be full of natural smiles for me when she came to the studio. Love her spunky personality! That zebra outfit really brought out her wild side, she was dancing and posing for me like she’d been on the runway for years. Thanks, Lilly!
