Time flies when you have a baby! Feels like it was just yesterday I photographed miss Avery when she was just a brand new life on earth. Now she’s three months old and a smiley, strong little girl. Doesn’t she have incredible blue eyes? Just like her sisters. Speaking of sisters, the oldest daughter was in school while I photographed Avery, but middle sister Bailey gave me some sweet grins while the baby was fed. She’s got the most darling curls!

The Littlest Princess at Three Months Old – Faribault Photographer
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010Love and Family in the Heart of the City
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010I had the pleasure of photographing Kera and Andy’s engagement portraits a few weeks ago at the Heart of the City in Burnsville. Kera and Andy are having a warm-weather destination wedding in January but wanted portraits done in their hometown before the big day. Andy’s children also came along and joined in for some family photographs, as well as some of just the kids.
This session was so much fun (the last shot of the night – last here in the blog post, as well – I’m pretty sure we were all cracking up because it was almost completely dark out and I had a camera in their face as they leaned in for a kiss. Not exactly the most romantic moment, but they made it look natural)! After the sun went down we took a little break and then came back for some more dramatically-lit night time shots. I told Kera and Andy later that my favorite thing about so many of their images was the way they looked at each other – their love came through loud and clear.
Katie – Northfield 2011 Senior Portraits
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010October in Minnesota is always a busy time for photographers, because Mother Nature gives us a spectacular backdrop to shoot against with the brilliantly-colored fall leaves. I have been having so much fun at sessions, meeting with clients, and getting galleries and orders ready I haven’t had much time to blog my sessions! I will have more this week to share of my incredible clients’ portraits.
Katie is a senior at Northfield High School and has been applying to an impressive list of colleges. I wish her the best of luck as she completes her last year of high school and gets ready to head off to higher learning, wherever that may be. Our session was great, we had excellent, glowy, light that just lit the trees up, and Katie has a fabulous smile that I think was even brighter.
Emma and the Purple Sky – Northfield Child Photographer
Sunday, October 10th, 2010The adorable Miss Emma, in a soybean field with the sunset behind her, and against the dusky, purple sky in the other direction. Thanks for being so much fun to photograph!
I debated doing some Photoshop magic in the portrait with the cables (or electrical lines? I’m not exactly sure what they are) behind her, but after seeing one with them visible and one with them gone, I preferred them in.
