Here is part two of the three-family session I did on the multi-acre farm with the fabulous weathered buildings (part one is here). Meet Teara, Tom, and their precious toddler Faith. Faith, like most three year old children, has some beloved items she is quite attached to, and those items are hats. Her parents did try to convince Faith to part with the hat in her hand for at least a few portraits, but Faith insisted on keeping it close. And you know what? I think that’s great! In a short while, Faith will likely forget all about the hats and this little idiosyncrasy will turn into something Tom and Teara want to remember. Now they’ll have photographs to show them.
Little Faith, with her crystal blue eyes, is going to be a big sister in the not-too-distant future! Best wishes to Tom and Teara as the pregnancy approaches the final months!
I love this image! First of all, Faith is sitting on a giant pumpkin that her aunt, uncle and cousins grew in their pumpkin patch. Her uncle had to wheel it over to the barn in a wheelbarrow! Second, she’s holding her hat, which is a perfect little detail of her life right now. And lastly, her expression really says a lot about how she felt about having to sit while I photographed her! I love sharing pictures with parents that show a bit of spark and real life to them – Tom and Teara included this one in the storyboard they had me create for them!
